New Kid on the Block: Elle Fanning

Good Morning Tuesday!!

We're still on vacation mode. This is the last day of rest before facing reality once again.

I'm seeing a lot of Dakota Fanning's little sister these days. Mary Elle Fanning or Elle Fanning, is slowly making a name for herself and not just Dakota's little sister tag. Her first movie role was the young Dakota in the movie I am Sam. Then she appeared in movies such as Daddy Day Care, Babel, and Super 8 to name a few. I really didn't recognize her that she's blossomed to a beautiful 13 year old now!! She didn't go through that awkward phase. She looks soooooo pretty! Not that young and not that old. She's just dressing and living her life perfectly as a pre-teen :) In my opinion, I like her more than her sister hehehe! :)

Love her here! The innocence of a 13 year old wasn't robbed from her ;)

Elle Fanning is adorable!! :) I'm a fan!!! :)

Ghetto B is drooling: Charlotte Olympia Pumps

Hello Girlies!

Today is an extra special Monday since it's holiday!!! :) It's once in a blue moon that we love Mondays. I love my Monday today since it's a free day and a me-and-my-girls day! :) We're all set to eat at this new resto we haven't eaten yet, watch Crazy Stupid Love in the movies, and hopefully go to S&R hahaha! :)

I'll be writing about Charlotte Olympia shoes today. Aside from the Louboitins, Choos, Blahniks, Charlotte Olympia shoes are so hot among the A-list celebs when they hit the red carpet. Just last 2006, Charlotte Olympia Dellal, a half English and half Brazilian designed her signature island platform shoe and it was an instant success!

Charlotte Olympia pumps have an  almond toe shape and signature designer stamp at the sole. Take for instance the Charlotte Olympia Dolly pumps, the heels are measured at 6 inches with 1.5 inches platform at the front (that makes total heel of 4.5 inches for the foot). Anyone wearing this will surely look very regal!!

Love this color block satin pump!

And this Charlotte Olympia Morwenna Colorblock too!!

Mila Kunis during the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. Super hot!!!

Blake Lively in the animal print version

These babies are luxury because they are around USD 700++!!!!! But maybe some local shoes manmanufacturers can do a "look for less" so we can have Charlotte Olympia-esque shoes at a fraction of a price hehehe! :)If I get to spot one, I'd report immediately! :)

Cath Kidston Charity Project for Uniqlo

Good Morning Sunshines!!

Day 2 of the long weekend. And loving it! Hehehe!

British designer Cath Kidston partnered with Uniqlo for the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP). Net proceeds of the Cath Kidston and Uniqlo line will be donated to support a safe motherhood program in Zambia.

During our Beijing trip, I paid Uniqlo a visit and I saw the Cath Kidston collection. I really love the shabby chicness of all Cath Kidston products:) I loved how soft feel of the fabric plus the vintage-y look of the shirts as well. This will be my new go-to shirt if I just wanna have a short and top laidback outfit.

I want to share the exact shirt I got but I'll just make do with this one. The one I have is the white shirt and blue polka dots (see the one with the arrow on the girl with the pink shirt hehe!) I think I bought mine for 99 Yuan. I guess I got mine cheaper because it's being sold at $19.80 dollars :)

Shopping and doing charity at the same time! :) Hehehe!

Look for Less: Forever 21 Bodycon Red Dress

I will be attending a corporate event this coming September and the theme the party is "Moulin Rouge, Chicago". So mostly red and black colors dominate the night. I'm really excited for that day since I'm looking forward to dress up and have my hair and make up done! Of course, I'm already set for that day weeks ahead since I already found the perfect outfit at Forever 21! :)

Good thing that there's Forever 21 already in the Philippines!!!! What I saw in the website, I saw in the store. Though there's a price difference, I wouldn't mind because I don't have a plane ticket anyway to pay for it or shipping costs will definitely be more expensive than the dress itself hehe! And besides, it's really small. So kinda negligible already :) The dress costs $19.80 in the website + taxes + shipping of course. I paid for the dress in the local Forever 21 branch in Megamall for only Php 1,025.00! Super worth it!

Front view.
One shoulder dress with cut-out detail. Empire waist! Real perfect for me
to "hide" my tummy and make an illusion that I have a small waist hehe! :)

Back View.
Hidden zipper and hook and eye closure at the back

I will take a pic of myself on the day of the event complete with shoes, hair, and make up :) I bought a faux suede platform pumps at St. Francis Square for only Php 400.00!! I'll just imagine I'm strutting a Christian Louboutin suede pumps hahahaha!

For now, this is all I'm sharing with you! I got the size small. But there are sizes bigger than small. So there Happy Shopping too!

Carmelettes Animal Print Ballet Flats

 Good Morning Friday!

This Friday is extra special because it spells, long weekend!!! Woohoo!! :)
I'm very much excited since I've got tons of stuff to do that I don't usually do anymore because of lack of time. Plus I've already set the dates to the girls! Different kinds of girls - college friends, high school friends, former co-workers. Exciting!!!

Anyways, here's another reason to drain the contents of your wallet. Another shoe lust from Carmelletes!!!

Animal prints are hot this Fall. Can't wait to get a pair for myself. I visited their Landmark branches both in Makati and Trinoma. I must say, it's really haunting me! Haha :) Nice and comfy to walk on. Plus the shoe shape.. I like! Not so super round and not so pointy. Also available in 3 styles: black cheetah, brown cheetah, and white tiger :) I'm liking the brown cheetah.

Look for Less: Preppy Fashion

Happy Thursday Girlies!!

It's been a while since I posted some outfits. Here I'm gonna share what I wore during my 2nd day to Beijing (I'll do a more thorough post on that next time to all those wanting to visit Beijing). We went to Great Wall and Summer Palace. I wanted to wear something really breezy and comfy since I'm aware that there will be tons and tons and tons of walking and the weather is hot (at least not so humid). I had in mind a Parisian, preppy look. It's a Paris meets Beijing peg hahaha!

Great Wall of China!! With my good friend Zarah :)

Fall 2011 Color Trend: Marigold

Happy Wednesday Ghetto Gurls!

See, I'm still keeping up to my promise. I'm still giving blogging some extra time and attention. Well, to start of this "new life", I'd like to share everyone the "It color" of the moment. Marigold. You may think... Marigold what??!! Haha!!

Marigold is a golden yellowish / mustard-ish color. More of like having a touch of gold with the yellow. This color is perfect to match neutrals such as white, beige, and black.

Take your cue from fashionistas Victoria Beckham and Olivia Palermo:

The ever-famous orange trend of last year has found its new match from the marigold.

Ghetto Gurls Back from Hibernating

Hello Ghetto Gurls!!!!!!!!  After 3 months, Ghetto B is back. Writing on these keyboards not for work stuff but for blogging seems surreal! Haha! It feels like ages since my last post. And looking back, it's mostly about food!! Hahahahaha!!

I've really missed blogging. I've tons of stuff I wanna write and share about but I just didn't have the time. From beauty products, skincare, clothes, food, travel, and some random thoughts that just piled over the months I've gone hibernating cyberspace. But hey, if there's a will, there's a way right?! Just last weekend, I really took the effort to have some "me" time by watching all the DVDs I bought months ago and read the both current issues of local magazines I have and a back issue of In Style. AND.IT.FELT.GOOD!!!! So I'm starting by writing something today :)

Check us more often now!
