Watching the movie Alice in Wonderland brought me back to my childhood. As a child, it was one of familiar stories I have heard. But I am not sure where I heard it exactly because my mom doesn't read me bedtime stories. *Sniff,sniff* Anyway, Tim Burton's version of the story is a grown up Alice. She is now 19 years old. Well to be honest, I am not really impressed with the story. It was so predictable! But on Tim's defense, maybe he made it for children and not for someone as old as I am. Poor parents. Johnny Depp's character was like an extension of Willy Wonka! And I am already a bit sick of him acting crazy and disturbed all the time. Why can't he play a character like he is a sane or decent like Bard Pitt-ish or Gerard Butler-ish:) I miss old Johnny Depp characters. Helena Bunham-Carter and Anne Hathaway were great. Me likey both of them! And for Mia (alice), I think she reminds me so much of Gwyneth Paltrow. All the time I see her, its like Gwyneth Paltrow. Was Alice on our story book like a little Gwyneth? I'm not sure. She had wardrobe change more or less 5 times during the movie and I did not like any of them:( too bad. The first one was weird, the second one was weird and so on weird weird weird:( Sorry Ms. Costume Designer.

So in conclusion, I did not like the movie Alice in Wonderland as an adult. But my 4 year old daughter loved it! She actually watched the movie and talked less.

My recommendations are: If you are with a kid, go watch it with the kid. If not, save your money for other movies. But If you are totally bored with your life and you just want to unwind a bit, go ahead and watch it:) After all, its just my personal opinion. You might actually like it:)

What's hot for spring/summer 2010

Summer season arrived way too early! It's very hot outside and you start to sweat even if you just came out of the shower. I soooo wanna go to the beach and drink a freezing cold fruit shake!! But of course, fashionista girls must keep in mind to travel and vacay in style while relaxing out of town or skinny dipping in the pool. Who wants to look chaka in the pictures, right?? hahaha! :)

Trend #1: Florals

Since spring equates to trees growing and flowers blooming once again after the cold winter, it's a no branier to channel it by wearing floral stuff in various colors and sizes. You can opt to choose small floral designs or large ones. Throw a bright cardigan on top should you feel cold or you can wear a platform wedge in the daytime when you take a stroll.

..while Lauren Conrad and Rihanna shows us how to wear it at a night out :)

Trend #2: Lace

Lace spells out femininity and being very girly. White lace dresses or tops looks good for daytime while the black ones for a night out. Lace is already intricate in itself so avoid over accessorizing. It's kinda hot and itchy to wear lace so the trick is to wear something like a cami underneath.

A-list hollywood celebs like Britney Spears, Mischa Barton, and Kate Hudson wear their little white lace dress while running errands. It's fashionable and very comfy as well to wear gladiator sandals with it too

When the sun sets, you can opt for a little black lace dress as you become the most fashionable night owl in town. Look at Blake Lively and Hayden Panettiere below:

Trend #3: Nautical Stripes

I personally think breton stripes are a closet staple because they're classic. If I don't have time to think what to wear, I usually choose and wear a white top, jeans, and flats OR a striped top, jeans/shorts, and flats :-) That's how versatile a striped top is for me.

You can wear it with almost anything like: white shorts, white trousers, khakis, jeans, denim shorts, denim skirts, jeans and the list goes on. The look becomes totally diferent by accessorizing like if you wear a belt or what kind of shoes you match it with.

Take cue from Reese Witherspoon and Rachel Bilson:
